The Novena in honour of the Holy Ghost is the oldest of all novenas. It was first made by Our Lady and the Apostles – upon Our Lord’s request – as they waited and prayed nine days consecutive following the Ascension for the coming of the Holy Ghost at Pentecost.

We encourage all the faithful to make this novena for nine days from Friday after the Ascension to the Vigil of Pentecost in preparation for the Feast of Pentecost by praying each day the Veni Creator Spiritus.
