Corpus Christi 2019
Note : This article was first published on the Canada Fidèle website on 13 April 2019.
Nearly 140 faithful gathered on Sunday 23 June to celebrate the solemnity of Corpus Christi in Lakeville. There were representatives from all of the missions: Montreal, Lévis, Bathurst, Moncton, Amherst, Charlottetown, Halifax, Saint John in New Brunswick, St. John’s in Newfoundland, etc.
We would like to salute in particular the fifteen faithful who came from Québec to honour the Sacrament of the Altar.
The good Lord blessed us with a magnificent temperature and a little wind to prevent us from cooking on the spot in the small chapel which was crowded with faithful. Thanks be to Providence!
Twenty-five altar boys served at the altar that day and about ten girls were present to throw petals at the passage of the Blessed Sacrament.
Thank you to everyone who made this memorable day possible!
May God continue to bless all the families and all the faithful who try to remain faithful to Him in the apostasy we are living.
Deo Gratias!

Restoration of Vestments and Making New Vestments at Our Lady of Joy Mission
Note : This article was first published on the Canada Fidèle website on 13 April 2019.
Vestments were restored at Our Lady of Joy Mission and new vestments were made. Here are some images of this work done by a young girl from the Mission.
Saint Joseph Artisan, pray for us!
This vestment was made from an old damaged cope. A complete vestment could be made with the old fabric which was still usable. An old style has been deliberately kept in the making of this vestment (design of the cross, etc.)
This vestment used for Masses in Québec has been restored. The fabric ensuring the rigidity of the vestment (the interlining) was changed, as well as the fabric around the cross which was replaced by a green silk which blends well with the cross. A burse will be made to complete the vestment.
A rose vestment is being made to complete vestment set of Our Lady of Joy Mission.
